Justin Richey is a California grown musician. He started playing guitar at age 10 influenced by the music of Led Zeppelin. At 11 he started with upright bass because theydidn't offer guitar in his elementary music program. It was until his junior year of high school, where he heard Michael Brecker. From that point on he has been hooked on playing and studying jazz, as well as many other styles at the Berklee College of Music. In his short career he has already played with Greg Osby, Terry Lyne Carrington, Brian Blade, Daniel Lanios, Brian Lynch, Terell Stafford, Phil Woods, Patti Austin, Darren Barrett, Peter Epstein, and so many others! He has played at such venues as the 50th and 51st Monterey Jazz Festival, the Beaches International Jazz Festival, the Freihofers Jazz Festival, the Oslo Jazz Festival, and so much more! There is so much more to come in Justin's career. Keep checking up on him and support the projects he plays with!
